S.G.C. Order of Merit
The Order of Merit has been created for the 2010 Tour. The Order of Merit has two primary goals;
A. To establish a method of point awards for each SGC Tour Event played, leading to the SGC Tour Championship seeding and awarding the SGC Tour Player of the Year.
B. To establish a fair, competitive basis for SGC Ryder Cup qualification.
Points shall be awarded to each player completing an SGC Tour event. There is no division of players; all players completing the event shall be ranked both by gross and net scores. Points shall be awarded from both tables. SGC Monthly Medal and SGC Major Events are worth premium points awards. Ties are awarded equally.

For the SGC Tour Championship;
Points shall be tallied from the first SGC Tour Event at Tianma February 27th through the last Monthly Medal November 6th. A “Reset” shall then take place based upon season ending points rank
After the Reset is made, the Tour Championship order of play shall be the lowest seeded players teeing off first, the highest seeded players playing in the final, penultimate group.
Points will be awarded in the Tour Championship from the Championship Table. Cumulative points from the Reset and Tour Championship Event shall determine the SGC Tour Player of the Year.

For the SGC Ryder Cup
Total points accumulated through the play, February 27th through the August 7th Monthly Medal shall be posted to both team captains. The top 12 players on the Order of Merit list shall become qualified for the Ryder Cup team. Should a player decline to play as part of the team, then qualification rights automatically pass to the 13th player, and so on until the top 12 are stated.
Each SGC Ryder Cup team captain shall further have four “Captain’s Picks”.
